About MES
Medical Expert Secretary Ltd (MES) provides dedicated administrative and practice support to independent medical experts undertaking medico-legal work across the UK.
We support experts across a range of medical disciplines, from MedCo reporting to wider specialist medico-legal instructions. Our role is to provide the administrative infrastructure required to manage a professional medico-legal practice efficiently, including instructions, appointments, case administration,
correspondence, document management and report administration.
Our services are designed around the individual requirements of each expert and their practice. Whether supporting an established consultant with a specialist caseload or a medical professional developing their medico-legal practice, MES provides a structured and dependable administrative framework that allows experts to concentrate on their professional responsibilities.
At every stage, we maintain a clear distinction between administration and professional medical opinion, preserving the independence of the instructed expert.
Founder and Director
Kashan Anwar is the Founder and Director of Medical Expert Secretary Ltd, with over nine years of experience in medico-legal administration and supporting independent medical experts across the UK.
His expertise encompasses medico-legal case administration, compliance and audit readiness, UK GDPR-aligned data handling, administrative quality assurance, workflow development and operational governance. Through MES, he has developed structured administrative systems designed to support efficient case management while preserving professional neutrality and expert independence.
Kashan holds a BA (Hons) in Business and Enterprise and is currently undertaking postgraduate study in Business Analytics. His academic development reflects a wider interest in healthcare informatics, strategic management and the effective integration of governance, data and technology within medico-legal administration.
Our Team
Our administrative team understands the precision, confidentiality and responsiveness required in medico-legal practice.Working within clearly defined administrative responsibilities, the team supports the day-to-day management of instructions, appointments, correspondence, documentation and reporting workflows. Consistent processes and clear communication help ensure that cases progress efficiently and that experts have reliable administrative support throughout each instruction.

MES maintains structured administrative processes designed to support accurate case management, clear audit trails, secure information handling and consistent administrative quality assurance. Our workflows are developed with regard to the requirements applicable to the medico-legal environment, including UK GDPR and, where relevant to the instruction, MedCo and CPR Part 35.
The independence of the medical expert remains fundamental. MES provides administrative and operational support only. We do not determine or influence clinical findings, diagnoses, causation, prognosis or medico-legal opinion. These remain solely matters for the instructed independent medical expert.
